Tulare County Regional Auto Theft Task Force Arrest Wanted Parolee for Possession of a Stolen Vehicle in Visalia

On July 28, 2010, investigators with TRATT (Tulare County Regional Auto Theft Task Force) located a stolen Lincoln Town Car parked in a residential area in Visalia. The vehicle had been reported stolen from the Lemon Cove area earlier in the day. Investigators initiated surveillance on the vehicle and observed the suspect enter the vehicle. Investigators converged on the stolen vehicle and arrested Renee Womack (52, of Visalia). Investigators located evidence connecting him to the theft of the vehicle. Womack was arrested for vehicle theft and a parole violation.

To achieve it’s goal of reducing vehicle theft within the County of Tulare, TRATT conducts surveillance in high theft areas, serves outstanding felony arrest warrants for suspects wanted for vehicle theft and related crimes, seeks out possible “chop shop” operations by conducting business inspections, and conducts probation and parole searches of persons previously convicted of vehicle theft.
