On June 29, 2010, the Honorable Judge James Hollman sentenced
44-year-old John Conde, Sr. of Texas to 32 years in prison for molesting
a young child. John Conde, Sr. lived in the Tipton area when the crimes
occurred.
On June 11, 2010 the defendant entered a no contest plea to four counts
of forcible child molest for a stipulated term of 32 years in state
prison. Since these are violent felonies, the defendant will have to
complete 85% of his prison sentence before he is released on parole.
Upon release the defendant will have to register as a sex offender for
the rest of his life. All four counts are “strike” offenses under the
California “Three Strikes” law.
The case was prosecuted by Deputy District Attorney Bethany Gilliland
and was investigated by Detectives John Lee and Kathy Garcia of the
Tulare County Sheriff’s Department.
