On April 22, 2010, Tulare County Superior Court Judge Joseph Kalashian
sentenced 53-year-old Henry Arredondo Lucio to a term of 15 years to
life in state prison for lewd acts on a child under 14 years of age
involving multiple victims.
The charges stemmed from a report by two juvenile females, who told
Detectives that Lucio touched them inappropriately while he was visiting
their Richgrove area home in Tulare County during early 2006.
On March 22, 2010, Lucio pled no contest to charges of committing lewd
acts on children under fourteen, involving the two victims, and failing
to register as a sex offender. Lucio had a previous 1997 conviction for
committing lewd acts on a child aged 14 for which he served a two-year
prison term.
In addition to the prison sentence, the Court ordered Lucio to have no
further contact with either victim, nor any child under the age of 18.
Lucio must also submit to AIDS testing pursuant to Penal Code section
1202.1, and if ever released from prison, he must continue to register
as a sex offender pursuant to Penal Code section 290.
This case was prosecuted by Deputy District Attorneys Phil Esbenshade
and Erika Ziegenhorn, and investigated by Detective John Lee of the
Tulare County Sheriff’s Office.
