On February 9, 2010, a Tulare County jury convicted 59-year-old Amory
Fryer of Porterville of Lewd Acts on a child under the age of 14 for the
molestation of two young female family members ages 11 and 13.
The molestations began in 2002 and continued through 2005 in the city of
Porterville.
As a result of the verdict, Fryer faces multiple life terms and
mandatory sex offender registration. Sentencing is scheduled for March
9, 2010 in Tulare Superior Court before the Honorable Judge James
Hollman.
This case was prosecuted by Deputy District Attorney Phil Esbenshade and
investigated by Porterville Police Detective Jeff Dowling and District
Attorney Investigator Gregg White.
