On February 8, 2010, a Tulare County jury convicted 62-year-old Luis Aldana Gonzalez, Sr. of Ivanhoe for molesting two female family members. The children were approximately 8 years old and 11 years old when the molestations began. The molestations continued for approximately a year. Another female family member, now in her 40’s, testified that when she was 11 or 12 years old, the defendant touched her inappropriately as well.

As a result of the verdict, the defendant faces multiple life terms and mandatory sex registration. Sentencing is currently scheduled for March 10, 2010, at 8:30 a.m. in front of the Honorable Gerald Sevier.

This case was prosecuted by Deputy District Attorney Bethany M. Gilliland and investigated by Detective Rodney Klassen of the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department and Investigator Gregg White of the Tulare County District Attorney’s Office.
