FARMERSVILLE MAN GUILTY OF CHILD MOLESTATION

On November 3, 2005, Timothy Earl Hissong age thirty-eight of Farmersville, was found guilty on six Counts of Lewd Act Upon a Child Under 14 Years.

According to the testimony at trial, Hissong molested three of his nieces for almost a year. The crimes took place between November 1, 2000 and August 2001 and consisted of masturbation and digital penetration. All three victims were under the age of fourteen, the youngest one being five years old at the time. When the first victim came forward and disclosed the molest to a family member, Hissong was confronted by the family and admitted that he had, in fact, molested the victim. Shortly thereafter two additional nieces came forward and disclosed that they too had been molested by Hissong. The victim’s testimony was corroborated by evidence found in Hissong’s residence.

Hissong had previously plead no contest to the charges back in January of 2002. Hissong later appealed and was allowed to withdraw his plea. At that time he was sentenced to eighteen years in state prison.
On December 8, 2005, Hissong was sentenced to three terms of fifteen years to life in state prison. Essentially, this means that Hissong will not be eligible for Parole for thirty-eight years and three months.

The case was prosecuted by Ruth McKee, Special Prosecutor for the Child Sexual Assault Unit. It was investigated by Sharon Mizner, Investigator for the District Attorney’s Office, Tami Ferguson and Scott Shade of the Farmersville Police Department.
