A Methamphetamine Prosecutor was created in 2001 to deal with the growing
problem of methamphetamine in Tulare County. This prosecutor will deal
with the use of innovative special allegations involving the dumping of
hazardous waste at narcotic manufacturing sites. Clandestine labs in
Tulare County leave behind a toxic stew that is often dumped into our
soil, endangering our water system. The toxic poisoning left behind
costs taxpayers thousands of dollars for every contaminated site which
is discovered. To combat the costs of cleanup, this prosecutor will use
laws that hold the drug manufacturers responsible for paying for the
cleanup. |
